B) Statement regarding the apps hyFee NC and hyFee GD

1) Data retention regard data in the app

The hyFee NC app stores the entered user data (NextCloud URL, username and password) to the user’s own NextCloud encrypted locally on the device in order to use the app. At no time is this data transmitted to the app provider.

The hyFee GD app stores the user’s authentication data encrypted locally on the device in order to use the app. At no time is this data transmitted to the app provider.

The files created in the app are temporarily stored in the app cache locally on the device for uploading. There is no permanent storage of this data in the app, nor is there any transfer to the app provider

The provider of hyFee does not create any server infrastructure for storing and publishing the data generated in the app. The data is stored and made available via the user’s own cloud infrastructure (e.g. NextCloud, Google Drive), which is why their privacy policies and usage rules also apply.

If a system-wide cloud backup is enabled on the device, the app data is also included in this backup. However, the backup is stored independently of hyFee at the manufacturer or provider of the device. The business and data protection conditions there apply.

2) Access to the user’s cloud infrastructure

To store and publish media created in the hyFee app, hyFee must access the user’s account in their cloud. For this purpose, the credentials provided by users are used for authentication.

The hyFee app creates a folder for its own functionality, where all generated media is stored. The hyFee app does not access any data outside of this folder.

No data is transmitted to the operator of the app, neither content nor analytics.
